Amy and I we're in the band "Zero In Trust" together. Even though our band didn't last more than a year, we always stayed friends. We had lost touch for a lot of years, and out of nowhere she got a hold of me and said she was coming to visit me for a few days. Amy never played in another band after ours, so I wanted to use this opportunity to write some songs together. I had an old Fostex G-16 reel to reel 1/2" tape machine, and some basic recording equipment at the time. I got a hold of Dan Schafer and Mike Horrick, to see if they wanted to be involved. Everyone was up for it, so with a case beer, and some loose ideas, we headed down to the basement to play. We ended up writing and recording 3 songs that day. The visit from Amy had a lot of levels to it, and I think this is the only time she ever sang or recorded again. I'm thankful we were able to record it. About 5 years after this, we reconnected again. She was living in Denver, and we'd hangout every time I'd pass through on tour, but I'm not sure where she's at these days... A couple years back, I was having some old tapes transferred to digital, and came across these songs! I hadn't thought about them in over a decade. The tape wasn't in the best shape, but I got it converted, and put a mix together of it. This is also the first time Dan and I wrote music together, almost 5 years before we started Noise By Numbers. It's crazy to listen to this, and I really wish Amy would've kept singing...
