I saw Laserhead randomly play at the Fest in Gainesville years ago at some dive bar. They were so awesome! I ended up becoming friends with Rich, the guitarist and singer, and a few years down the line I ended up mixing their 2nd album. They broke up before it was finished, so it never got released. Rich asked me if when I was mixing the record, could I play a solo on the song "Overdrive". I was flattered that he asked, and so I recorded one. I absolutely love this tune, and it's honestly the first and probably only time that I played an actual "Guitar Solo". I'm bummed the record never got finished, because they were such a great band, but at least this song was finished. If you have a chance, try and find their first album, it's amazing as well.
